If you love music, improv, and expanding the horizons of what your voice can create in community, Circle Jawn Singers (@circlejawnsingers) is the group for you!
Our mission is to GET PHILLY SINGING through circle singing (spontaneous choral experiences as popularized by vocal music legend Bobby McFerrin), vocal improvisation games, and a cappella jams.
It's just like "Whose Line is it Anyway?", but for musical dorks!
No experience? No problem! This gathering is for singers of ALL skill levels- no special musical talent or training is required to participate. We’d love to have you join us! Just bring yourself, your voice, and your favorite water bottle and get ready to SING!

This April, the cherry blossom trees aren’t the only thing in bloom here in Philly! 🌸
That’s right- for this month’s Citywide Sing, we are excited to share that we will be joined again by none other than special guest facilitator @tracyljrobertson of @thevocalbloom! 🎶🌷🎶
Circle Jawn Singers who joined us for his event with us last August will remember his immersive, playful, and masterful approach to leading circle songs and vocal improvisation- but in case you haven’t been lucky enough to experience Tracy’s work yet, check out his seriously impressive artist bio:
ABOUT TRACY:
Tracy LJ Robertson is a performing and recording vocalist and vocal percussionist, vocal arranger, music director, and facilitator in the world of empowerment through music. A full ride alumni of Berklee College of Music, Tracy has worked with a range of artists including Valerie Simpson, Justin Timberlake, Andy Grammer, Michael Bublé, Billie Eilish and Bobby McFerrin. Meanwhile, the acappella community has offered opportunities to tour internationally and teach at a cappella and vocal jazz festivals with groups like Pitch Slapped, Overboard, Vocalosity, m-pact, The Magnets, and The House Jacks.
Tracy is particularly grateful to work with community building organizations like the Urban Voices Project, Yes World, A Cappella Academy, and in ever more spaces where healing and empowerment are invited and supported - particularly through music. In these spaces and through his project, Vocal Bloom, Tracy invites people from all walks of life to engage their voices and bodies in playful self-surprise and connection through musical creativity.

Mishana studio is on the bottom floor of The Preston in the Falls Center, conveniently located right off a stop on the Septa 32 bus line.
In addition, parking in the lot and garage outside Mishana is free and plentiful!
When you pull into the Falls Center complex, you will see a large parking lot and garage to your right. (With Founded and The Preston on your left.)
